Job Description


Role Purpose Supports product-related activities by collecting and verifying relevant data across a range of data types (e.g. companies, entities, markets, securities). The Fixed Income team is responsible for daily management of fixed income securities, specifically analysing the market activity of US Corporate Securities ranging from Corporate Medium-Term Notes, Corporate Notes, Retail Notes, Agency Bonds, Convertible Bonds, Rule 144A Bonds, Preferred Stocks, Treasury Bonds, in both primary and secondary markets. Key Responsibilities Research, analyze and report critical financial data for the client. Conduct detailed data analysis using a wide variety of data sources and tools to verify accuracy of bond data onto Mergent databases. Take responsibility for data quality, timeliness and completeness, this includes root cause analyses of recurring issues. Research new and review existing sources to ensure that quality, timeliness, and automation are improved. Build knowledge of financial regulations, market practices in relevant markets and monitor market events to anticipate the changes. Understand Mergent products to provide a higher degree of service and accurate data to the client. Support specific projects and data enhancements. Daily update of reports/trackers/production reports. Learn and support the process on production environment within the expected timeline. Participate in special projects as assigned. Candidate Profile / Key Skills A degree in finance, economics and/or business or equivalent. Strong knowledge/understanding of Fixed Income instruments such as Notes, Bonds, Treasury Auctions etc. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage workflow under strict deadlines. Highly motivated and able to work collaboratively with a dynamic team of analysts. Meticulous and detail oriented in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the financial reports to clients. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work on Malaysia public holidays.
