Job Description

The Application Development Manager will lead and oversee application development initiatives, ensuring effective delivery of technology solutions within the industrial and manufacturing sector. The role requires expertise in managing teams, implementing innovative solutions, and driving business value through technology.

• Lead development and support of eTrace, ensuring SOX compliance and adherence to IT Change Management processes
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and propose technical solutions
• Plan and document functional requirements and system designs
• Guide team in designing, building, and configuring new eTrace modules
• Work with developers on coding, testing, and debugging applications
• Support eTrace enhancements and manage data maintenance
• Ensure standardization of eTrace across global sites and support rollout to new facilities
• Assess feasibility and prepare execution plans with minimal operational impact
• Coach local teams for post-rollout support and knowledge transfer
• Mentor junior team members, upholding software quality standards
• Contribute to corporate strategies, policies, and procedures
• Comply with quality, safety, legal, environmental, and 5S requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of business, production, and technical information
• Perform other duties as assigned

A successful Application Development Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• Years of experience in manufacturing (shopfloor) execution system development and support
• Desirable experience in ERP systems development/support (SAP, S4 Hana)
• Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio, VB.Net, C#, SQL, HTML, and related web technologies
• Experienced in developing new applications/modules and supporting existing systems
• Skilled in creating technical and user documentation
• Strong in analyzing requirements, enhancements, and bugs
• Collaborative team player with solid problem-solving abilities
• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Experienced in testing web applications and adhering to project guidelines
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
