JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure sales team effectiveness: hiring, capability building, performance management, motivation.
Implement sales strategies and initiatives within the assigned are and achieve sales targets.
Support pricing plans; manage distributor rebates.
Implement customer incentive plans.
Implement sales campaigns.
May ensure effective management of pull programs at farm level in accordance with channel management strategy Overarching accountabilities.
Contribute to customer segmentation data and campaign plans.
Provide information to crop marketing.
Ensure that all relevant Syngenta policies are well understood and implemented by the sales team and where necessary, customers.
Defend and promote the image of Syngenta, represent the company in a professional way.
Consolidate, review and evaluate information regarding market trends, product needs and competitive environment.
Build and foster a team culture that values, recognizes and generates a business oriented, customer focused organization.
Contributes to forecasting and accuracy of sales volume.
REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA:
Bachelor degree in Agriculture.
Requires knowledge and understanding within relevant area with minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in sales or marketing, preferably in crop protection products or seeds.
Strong sales background with good knowledge of channel management, crops, crop protection products, seeds and competition and General trends in agriculture, including customer and competitor activity.
In depth knowledge of Syngenta\xe2\x80\x99s and competitor\xe2\x80\x99s products and offers.
Willing to travel extensively to meet with customers and demand creation leads.
