  • Has a clear understanding and a role model of the company\'s Vision, Purpose and Values.
  • Provide support to counterparts in each property in the Learning and Development function and recruitment of Learning and Development team members as and when required to do so.
  • Champion an internal brand culture awareness and understanding that support the company\'s Brand and Vision, Purpose and Values.
  • Evaluate the hotel\'s Learning and Development performance and the effectiveness of training programmes, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Review and evaluate training and apprenticeship programmes for compliance with government and hotels\' standards.
  • Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses provided by hospitality colleges and universities and designate training procedures.
  • Identifying learning and development needs through job analysis, performance appraisal and regular consultation with management teams.
  • Design and develop training and development programmes based on Corporate guidelines.
  • Develop effective induction programmes.
  • Manage the delivery of learning and development programmes and devising a training strategy for the properties, based on Corporate guidelines.
  • Champion training compliances and Quality Assurance based on brand requirement.
  • Prepare training record with training evidence which might required by the brand for audit purposes.
  • Ensure statutory learning and development requirements are met at all times.
  • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
  • Increasingly, having an understanding of e-learning techniques.Assess relevant training needs for associates and hotel, in consultation with departmental heads, including assessment methods and measurement systems entailed.
  • Stay informed as to relevant skill and qualifications levels required by associates for effective performance, and circulates requirements and relevant information to the organization as appropriate.
  • Review and make recommendations to the hotel\'s Learning and Development budget and expenses.
  • Absolute control and responsibility for the Learning and Development function and budgets, Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) reimbursement with respect to PARKROYAL COLLECTION & Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur.
  • Responsible for overall trainees\' placement, including the selection, training, welfare and internship evaluation.
  • Actively monitor and evaluate trainees\' performance and identify outstanding talents among trainees.
  • Engage with higher learning institutions (private & public) to provide platform for students undergoing internship programs and industrial training.
  • Establish good relationships with higher learning institutions by actively participating in career fairs or events which are beneficial to both parties.
  • Ensure active implementation and adherence to Corporate Learning and Development initiatives and Brand Standards.
  • Understand role as Learning and Development Standards mentor and continues to develop and strive to deliver higher service standards than guest expectations.
  • Actively refine and review Product and Service Standards in keeping with Corporate guidelines and associates expectations.
  • Always searching for ways and opportunities to simplify any process to make it as user-friendly as possible.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of Learning and Development strategies and initiatives in the hotel.
  • Implement organizational strategy and plans to meet training and development needs, and manage training delivery, measurement and follow-up as necessary.
  • Develop and implement the annual business plan and medium term strategies, as well as establishing key performance objectives and plans to ensure the Learning and Development function meets its targets and drives brands and standards growth.
Talent Profile
  • A degree in Human Resource education,organization development, psychology or related field is required.
  • 2-3 years of working in training department.
  • Ability to lead and conduct training, measure and follow up.
  • Expert in learning audit learning theories, intructional design and blended learning methologies.
  • Certification of Train The Trainer program.
  • Excellent communication skills and extrovert is prefered.
