Assistant Manager, Fare Filing

Reports To

Manager, Fare Filling & Compliances

Role Purpose

Responsible for managing the fare filing process for an airline and ensure that the fares are filed accurately and in a timely manner by utilizing the ATPCO fare filing system and Amadeus Fare Expert - this will follow strict Standard Operating Procedures to maximize accuracy and speed to market and provide Malaysia Airlines a commercial advantage.

Key Accountability * Perform fare filing fare management process and distribution of Malaysia Airlines\' fares, surcharge and ancillary data to the Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) including all channels.

• Using the ATPCO fare filing system and Amadeus Fare Expert - as per strict Standard Operating Procedures to ensure data accuracy and speed to market.
• Support and assist Malaysia Airlines Group (MAG) business units in terms of projects and activities requiring fare filing activity and ensure that this is done accurately and on time.
• Manage operational responsibilities such as filing volume and performance monitoring and reporting.
• Would need to compile the airline\'s fundamental challenges and improvement needs and interact with relevant parties such as ATPCo, GDS, and so on.
• As part of the continual improvement and speed to market, will need to be alert of any new ATPCo or GDS industry advances, as well as alternative filing tools and systems.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members as needed and meeting deadlines accordingly.

Qualifications & Working Experience

Degree in Business/Finance/Economics with 3-5 years of experience in airline pricing and fare filing.

Skills & Knowledge * Must possess excellent commercial, analytical and communication skills that are focused on results and work well under pressure.

• Proficiency in fare filing systems, ATPCO and databases is a must.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical support to business units.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Challenges * Learning curve, speed and accuracy, multitasking, industry knowledge, staying up to date on all new developments for fare filing and tariff, and attention to detail.

• Must have strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external parties.
