We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Finance, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Set Accounting:
Manage and maintain the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
Provide insights into financial performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
Taxation and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax returns (e.g., SST, income tax).
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as needed.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and report deviations to management.
Cash Flow Management:
Oversee daily cash flow management and maintain optimal working capital levels.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and collections from clients.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring their tasks are completed effectively.
Provide training and support to team members as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
Proven experience in handling a full set of accounts, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and local tax regulations.
Proficiency in SQL-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Preferred Qualities:
Experience in leading a team or managing staff.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Proactive and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., financial year-end).
