Job Description


Job Purpose

  • Assist in the implement and management of the implement the Group\'s Compliance Management Framework (\xe2\x80\x9cCRM\xe2\x80\x9d), methodology, system and programs, focusing on compliance monitoring. This include obtaining buy in from relevant stakeholders and providing feedback for its continuous improvement.
  • Assist and where required, lead the implementation of the Group\'s Anti-Bribery & Corruption Framework and its related programs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Compliance related Frameworks to support management of key compliance material risk (Enterprise level) of the Group (emerging and current), utilizing the principles as set out in the Group\'s CRM.
Job Responsibilities

Assist Head, Group Compliance Office in managing and operationalizing compliance frameworks (in line with the Group\'s CRM) across the Group, which include but not limited to:

A) Internally - operations
  • Researching, recommending and enhancing (where appropriate) Compliance Management\'s roadmap, policy, framework, methodology and system. Continuous improvement of Compliance management Framework
  • Coordinate the Group\'s Compliance programs and activities Prepare and providing ongoing education and appropriate briefing and compliance related training to employees, where required.
B) Externally - Best Practice and Scan of Risk Environment
  • Be aware of the current compliance management best practices in the industry.
  • Perform necessary research on emerging compliance risks and trends in the industry and advice Head of Group Compliance Office, CRICO or management, where necessary
C) Compliance Assessment Activities

  • Assist in the identification of current and future processes within the Group which requires compliance input to ensure compliance risk and obligations are identified on a timely basis.
  • Ensure compliance risk update are conducted across the Group, which include coordination with the Group Risk Management Department. Ensure compliance risks are captured as part of the risk management process.
D) Compliance Monitoring
  • Lead the review/validation of key compliance risk and/or controls impacting the Group, including its mitigating strategies and ratings.
  • Perform and lead any other compliance review or validation or special review as required.
F) Compliance Administration/ Operations (department role)
  • Manage Compliance and other resources to deliver mandate and agreed KPIs
  • Provide regular and timely update to Head of Group Compliance Office and CRICO on the status of Compliance management activities undertaken.

G) Other Functions
  • Implement the Group Compliance Office communication, tools and facilitates using appropriate methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Assist in the provision of advisory services to Departments/Operating Units to establish, maintain and continuously improve their compliance management capabilities.

  • Deliver the Group\'s Compliance Strategy and Annual Plans.
  • Achievement of GCO\'s set targets and deliverables.
  • Works meets or exceed Compliance standards & methodologies and expectation.
  • Aid Group Risk Management team and if required, GCO to achieve overall Risk and Compliance targets and deliverables.
  • Committed to continuous improvement methodology and maintaining good client relationship.
  • Maintain high ethical conduct, independence, and confidentiality in performance of duties as Compliance Officer.
Education/Professional Qualification
  • Possess at least a Professional Degree/Certificate, Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
  • Risk, Governance and Audit related education will be an added advantage.
Professional Experience
  • At least 1 years in current position (Assistant Manager), with relevant work experience. Property development /real estate experience will be an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of overall work experience.
  • Driven, analytical, good attention to detail and ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

  • BU/OU/Support Department operating parameters;
  • Laws, rules and regulations impacting BU/OU/Support Department area of operations;
  • The Group\'s principles and requirements of the Group\'s Code of Business Conduct ("COBC"), Group Policies and Authorities (\xe2\x80\x9cGPA\xe2\x80\x9d) and related policies and procedures.
  • The basic application of risk management in the BU/OU/Support Department area of operations;
