An Assistant Outlet Manager supports the Outlet Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow, staff coordination, and compliance with operational and food safety standards. This role is crucial in maintaining authentic Chinese food quality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency in a culturally respectful dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support daily operations -- assist in managing kitchen, service, and cleanliness standards.
2. Ensure all ingredients, preparation, and cooking processes meet restaurant quality and food safety standards.
3. Prevent cross-contamination and maintain proper documentation for inspections and audits.
4. Train, schedule, and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient service and teamwork.
5. Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
6. Monitor inventory and stock levels, ensuring all supplies are fresh, authentic, and properly stored.
7. Track outlet performance, assist in budgeting, cost control, and sales reporting.
8. Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols in both kitchen and service areas.
9. Assist in promotions, festive campaigns, and community engagement activities to attract customers.
10. Ensure consistency and authenticity in Chinese / Dim Sum cuisine presentation and taste.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in F&B, preferably as a Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager.
2. Prior experience in Chinese or Dim Sum restaurant operations (non-halal) is highly preferred.
3. Strong understanding of Chinese culinary traditions, service standards, and menu flow.
Working Experience:
1. Experience managing restaurant outlets, including front and back-of-house coordination.
2. Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural and fast-paced environments.
3. Knowledge of food handling, safety, and kitchen operations.
Skills Required:
1. Familiarity with sourcing and handling Chinese / Dim Sum ingredients, including non-halal items.
2. Ability to guide, train, and motivate a diverse service and kitchen team.
3. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
4. Good understanding of SOPs, kitchen workflows, and traditional Chinese dining service cycles.
5. Basic knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and sales tracking.
6. Proficiency with POS systems, inventory software, and reporting tools.
7. Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural dining environment.
