Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Implement and monitor the company's Safety Management Plan and site-specific safety procedures.
Organize and lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions for site staff and subcontractors.
Enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitor compliance on-site.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and safety-related documentation.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety requirements are incorporated into work plans and activities.
Ensure all safety signage, emergency equipment, and traffic management measures are properly maintained and visible.
Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting and suggestions for improvement.
Stay updated on local safety laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to the construction/engineering industry.
Job Requirements:
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Certification in Safety and Health Officer (e.g., SHO by DOSH) or equivalent is highly preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in construction, engineering, or telecommunications.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control measures.
Good communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with teams and contractors.
Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to safety management.
