Summary of the Role: The Associate Director is the key figure in creating a recognized market-leading position in communications planning, effective business solutions for clients and PHD, ensuring that strategic planning approaches for clients come alive, developing and converting new business opportunities that build agency\'s billings, revenue and growth. This role requires a person who can be the strategic resource to manage senior client relationships, elevate PHD\'s image beyond media agency to business partners and to identify new opportunities both in product, PR for PHD. Job Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management Co-partner with Business Directors to strengthen senior relations with clients Deliver strategic business solutions to clients Responsible for client\'s perception of PHD\'s \'strategy\' image Development of new revenue streams with clients above Co-partner with Business Directors for total quality control for all output delivered to the client Drive an innovation agenda on PHD key clients to deliver not only sound business solutions but strong award conversion potential Understand client\'s business and market needs, to be able to identify new business opportunities and scope Strategic Media Development Involvement of insights and creative communications solutions Accountable and approval for the quality of his and team\'s strategic product and proposals/solutions Land PHD\'s thought leadership in daily interactions and in our product solutions to clients Ensuring sound base media planning delivery across teams, underpinned by Omni Studio and strong marketing and media principles. Work closely with Performance Specialists & Annalect teams to elevate product delivery in the digital, data and tech solutions New Business Constantly on the lookout for identifying new business potential Institute appropriate strategies to approach potential clients Lead new business/pitch processes Client Profitability Co-Partner Business Directors to deliver on a profitable client business Work closely with the teams to elevate strategic thinking in the digital platforms space Sell through of appropriate solutions to client business Leading Your Team & The Specialist Relationships Provide close guidance and hands on help and impart knowledge to relevant team members enabling them to deliver high standard communication proposals Identify and train communication strategic champions in each division/team Delivery of vision and principles at all times. Effective working relationships with other agency personnel Protecting Our High Standards Ensure that any work that leaves the agency is of the highest standard Be part of producing ideas that inspire, motivate, engage and create commercial action Be part of producing award winning work Always challenge \'mediocrity\' Integration Think like a solutions provider Ensure you encourage the use of other agency services or agency partners Operations Actively be part of identifying and developing strategies and presentations to win new businesses To strategically identify multi-channel partners and develop an integrated communications offering for existing and new clients Participate in all major meetings with Clients, Agencies, media owners, and internal meetings, and actively offer the agency\'s POV Hold regular discussions on business updates with selected team members Initiate brainstorming sessions with internal staff, Agencies and Clients Recommend appropriate tools & research requirements Be well versed in all agency research, research tools, and operating systems (Omni Studio, Omni etc.) Ensure all proposals are of highest quality Ensure and encourage the usage of planning and optimization tools, research data, creative media buys, and provide integrated communications approach in the various team proposals Review current local and regional market environment regularly and adjust business and media plans in response to changes Liaise with regional counterparts on business issues Develop and build a highly recognized market leading position in strategic thinking and creativity, and drive PHD position as strong strategic consultancy and data-driven marketing solutions agency Produce written pieces and POVs, that can be distributed and generate PR and thought leadership Requirements: Tertiary qualified, supplemented by 8-10 years of strong strategic planning and media Good understanding of marketing fundamentals and strategic planning capabilities Ability to engage senior individuals within your client group & manage complex campaigns Be diplomatic as a way of getting things done Sit at the table for senior strategic discussions around the big issues, both business and communications strategy Strong Breadth of knowledge across all channels Senior enough to be able to stand up to client or creative agency using appropriate and diplomatic judgments to get the right result Be confident to present at large meetings/conferences in an articulate and clear manner Ability to understand and account for multiple stakeholders and their issues Deliver broad business thinking as well as having the ability to deliver against processes and attention to detail that come with accounts of this scale Empower and motivate teams (at all levels) within agency to collaborate and work towards an agency vision and goal Have the charisma and aura to command the stage, and present and deliver PHD\'s stand-out quality
