Description

Primary Objective:

  • To support deliverables relating to origination/enhancement of Islamic products/services.
  • To share knowledge with other team members for process improvement in the end-to-end development Shariah compliant products.
  • To prioritize and execute assigned tasks in ensuring fast product to market
  • To ensure products introduced are in compliance with prevailing governance standards including Shariah, Bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies & other regulatory requirements.
  • To contribute and actively participate in strategic planning of Islamic products to improve product positioning & market share.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead on system readiness initiative related to New/Variation of Islamic product/services.
  • To prepare relevant documents to initiate effort in relation to system enhancement requirements
  • To obtain relevant sign-off requirement on Change Request, UAT Test Result where it is in relation to assigned initiative.
  • To conduct relevant system assessment for process improvement, automation of manual process, UAT, raise problem log, among others to meet expected time to market.
  • To provide relevant input/information on system related areas for when the process is to be properly documented and communicated to system user.
  • To value-add, provide knowledge and expertise on Group effort in relations to system enhancement where applicable to Islamic product
  • To exercise adequate due diligence and care to ensure that existing, new/ variation product(s) system behavior are in compliance with prevailing governance standards including Shariah, Bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies and regulatory requirements.
  • To value-add to other team members and cross-functional members when required.
  • To build network with all relevant divisions within the organization and industry members or other relevant platforms related to the primary objectives.
  • To conduct knowledge sharing on system related process/improvement with relevant system user within the organization.
  • To participate actively in internal strategic planning on new initiatives and provide appropriate recommendation.
  • To lead and/or value-add in addressing Shariah non-compliant (SNC) incident or any potential SNC incident related to the system behavior and thereafter its rectification plan across functions and division.
  • To collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure system compliance to any new Shariah Standards issued by BNM are achieved within the specified timelines.

  • Understand Business requirement, analyze and evaluate both product, documentation and system requirement based on the approved Shariah paper and product proposal paper.

  • Prepare CR, circulate for review, deliberate, obtain signoff by relevant parties and submit to IT Engagement Manager for effort sizing and timeline.

  • Responsible for test plan, test condition and test script preparation, conduct UAT for RHBIB or Group Initiatives which involve RHBIB as per Change Request, thereafter analyze the results, reporting defect and complete the UAT within timeline. Ensure all aspects of system are adequately tested.

  • Develop and maintain project schedule to ensure assigned project is within timeline.

  • Communicate progress and status to Head on regular basis for monitoring and reporting.

  • Provide advice on RHBIB systems features and capabilities.

  • Provide analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.

  • Ensure controls to address Shariah non-compliance risk concerns are mitigated in the respective operations manual.




Requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Diploma /Degree Holder with experience in Information Technology / Islamic Banking.
Diploma - Diploma /Degree Holder with experience in Information Technology / Islamic Banking.

  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferably with knowledge in front and back office banking system \xe2\x80\xa2 Understand product behavior and its operational processes

Preferably with 1-5 years of working experience in project and/or product management related field.
  • Knowledge of banking product & operations
  • Knowledge in Islamic banking products
  • Strong organizational, project management, analytical and relationship building skills, resourceful, result-oriented and have ability to multi-task.
