Lead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning to completion.
Perform and review risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and audit planning.
Review audit documentation and working papers prepared by audit teams.
Ensure audits are completed accurately and within deadlines in accordance with ISA, MFRS, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance on complex audit and accounting matters.
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, coach, and mentor audit seniors and juniors.
Conduct performance reviews and support staff development plans.
Allocate resources and manage team workload effectively.
Provide internal training and guidance on audit methodology and standards.
Client Management
Act as the primary contact for key clients and handle client communications.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and understand client business needs.
Provide advisory support in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting matters.
Manage client expectations and resolve issues professionally.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control
Ensure engagements comply with MIA, ISA, and firm quality control policies.
Monitor changes in accounting/audit regulations and implement updates within the team.
Participate in internal audit quality reviews and practice improvement initiatives.
Firm Support & Reporting
Assist in managing practice operations and business development activities.
Prepare audit progress reports and billing schedules for management review.
Support partner(s) with practice matters and ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Professional qualification (ACCA / MICPA / CPA / ICAEW) preferred.
MIA membership or eligible for membership is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of audit experience, including supervisory or senior role in a professional audit firm.
Strong technical knowledge of MFRS, ISA, Malaysian Companies Act, and regulatory requirements.
