Assist the Functional Head / Audit Lead in the execution of the approved audit plan / other assignments and coaching team member (auditor).
Key Responsibilities:
To execute the risk-based audit assignments (within the targeted timeline) as per the Audit Plan to ensure the audit fulfils the approved audit objectives and audit scope and the standards as prescribed in the Audit Methodology.
Perform risk assessment exercise in the annual audit planning and to develop risk-based Audit Program for execution of planned audits.
Lead and conduct risk-based audit assignments in accordance to the budgeted timeline, manpower resources and cost.
To review the adequacy and completeness of team member\xe2\x80\x99s documentation of work done and draft audit findings.
Raise and/or evaluate the audit findings and recommendations for each audit assignment to ensure they are appropriate for discussion (i.e. factually accurate and address the underlying root cause of the finding) with line management.
Prepare and/or review the draft audit reports to ensure audit findings highlighted clearly identified the risk/impact and the underlying root causes with appropriate audit recommendations in order to strengthen the existing internal control systems, and auditee\xe2\x80\x99s response adequately address the audit recommendations.
Communicate audit findings to the auditees and their immediate supervisors on a timely manner and follow-up closely with the auditees for the response required.
Conduct/attend end-of-audit discussion (exit meeting) with the auditees.
Clear all queries/review issues raised by Audit Lead, FA Heads, FG Heads or Group CIA
Monitor and follow-up with the auditees on the progress of rectification actions and the status of the audit recommendations in with regard to audit findings raised.
Participate in product / policy / process review and projects to ensure appropriate controls are incorporated, where required.
Participate in ad-hoc assignments, meetings and discussions, as directed by the FAHs, FGHs or GCIA, and assist in administrative matters, where required.
Review subordinates\xe2\x80\x99 Electronic Working Paper (EWP) and attend to the completion of EWP in the Audit Management System (AMS) and filing of hardcopy of supporting documents within the specified timeline and ensure proper and up to date upkeep of AMS.
Review the Audit Programs to ensure it is updated to facilitate review of the agreed audit scope and objectives.
Handle secretariat matters for Management Audit Committee (MAC) meeting.
Provide guidance and training to subordinates and feedback their performance to the Audit Lead.
Requirements
Requirements: Bachelor Degree - \xe2\x80\xa2 Degree Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Management or Economics.
- ACCA / CPA / CIMA / ICSA
At least 3 years experiences in audit / risk / compliance review of financial institutions and preferably with basic knowledge of investment banking activities
Strong analytical skills, meticulous, good interpersonal and communication skills
Good knowledge of internal control principles / practices, and investment banking activities
