Position Title: Bid Engineer

Tenure: Permanent

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 To be part of growing Tendering & Proposal Team, to prepare Commercial and Technical proposals

\xc2\xb7 Manage associated cost preparation responsibilities.

\xc2\xb7 Obtain factored / sub supplier costs where necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare technical & commercial proposals.

\xc2\xb7 Attend clarification meetings with Client or Contractors/Suppliers when required.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.

\xc2\xb7 Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.

\xc2\xb7 Participate in and actively support company initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.

\xc2\xb7 All other duties as relevant to the post.

Skills and Requirements:

• Good understanding in telecommunications and/or railway systems works.
• Communication & organisational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good grammar and technical report writing skills.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering or Similar.
• Experience of dealing with complex tenders.
• Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment.
• General MS Office Program skills.
• Knowledge on MS Project.
• Knowledge on Visio or Autocad.
