If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us Responsibilities * To develop Bank's internal guidelines/policy on Halal financing and Halal businesses to ensure compliance to the Shariah (Islamic Law), all guideline If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us Responsibilities To develop Bank's internal guidelines/policy on Halal financing and Halal businesses to ensure compliance to the Shariah (Islamic Law), all guidelines issued by Malaysian authorities such as Halal Assurance Management System of Malaysia Halal Certification by Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri (JAIN), and Bank Negara Malaysia Responsible to conduct/facilitate awareness trainings on Halal certification for companies interested to apply for Halal certification and products related to company Responsible to advise Customers on Halal related matters and its regulatory requirements Responsible for and liaise with JAKIM and JAIN on halal related matters as well as policies/guidelines To devise a strategy to increase Bank's revenue and market share on Halal financing To explore and conduct market research on new industries that has potentials for Halal financing To advise the management and related departments (such as PD, BCB-i and PFS-i) on developing new Halal financing programmes / products Conduct training to internal staff on the Halal framework Able to multi task with minimum supervision and able to meet the deadline. Others To perform site visits/attend meeting to monitor/assess progress to ensure customer is able to achieve their Halal certification in a timely manner or within a stipulated timeframe To work closely with product partners within the Bank's in order to meet the financial and banking requirement of customers in a wholesome manner To ensure that the credit facilities offered to customers are structured in compliance with the Bank's credit policies To ensure that the key risk is highlighted and proposed mitigation action to reduce the related risk To preserve the assets quality of the Bank at all times To establish good working contact with other related department within the Bank's on projects related to the Halal Industry To identify and contact prospects, and preliminary evaluation of the potential prospect. To process ad-hoc request for additional facilities and etc. To support any additional analytical / operational tasks as assigned by the Head of Department Requirements Bachelor Degree in Halal Industry Management, Halal Quality Assurance OR Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or Commerce-related Degree OR Certified Halal Executive by Halal Professional Board. Minimum 5 years of working in Halal industry Proven working experience in similar capacity in manufacturing sector preferably in food industry. Familiar with Halal Assurance System and able to execute with minimum supervision. Familiar with food safety regulations (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP & HALAL). Familiar with Islamic banking business and operations.
