About the Department

The Clinical Medical Regulatory and Quality (CMRQ) department is one of the key functions that enable the business strategy through effective execution of functional goals, in the areas of Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Quality Assurance. The position Clinical Team Leader is to be located at Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, and report to the Clinical Operations Manager.

The Position

The role of the Clinical Team Leader is responsible for taking leadership of site management for the selection and initiation of sites as well as conduction and closing activities of the appointed studies in compliance with local regulations, ICH-GCP, company procedures and protocol requirements to ensure date quality and study subject protection.

Other role tasks are as follows but are not limited to:

  • You will be responsible for recruitment at country/ site level and thereby delivers results that have a direct impact on the successful completion of the clinical programme.
  • You coordinate with the Project Manager and communicates to them progress and critical issues that may impair trial success.
  • In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will be performing co-monitoring visits to ensure consistency of trial execution among participating sites, and coach junior CRAs and CRAs in site's management and monitoring.
  • You will also supervise global & local clinical trial projects and lead & manage the clinical research unit team members.
Qualifications
  • You hold a qualification in Degree in Medicine, Biology, Science, Pharmacy, Nursing or other equivalent.
  • You have minimum 5 years' solid operational experience in clinical development, experience in multinational clinical trials phases from site initiation and have line and project management experience.
  • Proactive communication both internally and externally is essential for successful implementation of the main accountability. This position requires excellent people skills and good project and people management skill to achieve success of covered clinical trials.
  • You are required to have good comprehension of ICH-GCP, local requirement and Novo Nordisk SOPs. You need to adapt and manage changes of the groups and/ or clinical trials that you are accountable for. You are required to travel within Malaysia and occasional oversea trip.
  • You are fluent in English (verbal and written) and Bahasa Malaysia.
