About our client:

Our client is a traditional style club house that has fine river views, with local and international boats regularly passing by. They are open to members of the public and the club house provides an ideal venue for weddings, parties and corporate functions, either on the terrace area. Their catering serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and can provide a wide variety of cuisine for group bookings. Our client also offer a bar, pool and wi-fi in all areas, and comprehensive facilities for boat storage, boat maintenance, launching and on the water pontoons. Although well established, they are young at heart and are constantly attracting new members, including families, young people and businesses.

  • To manage and oversee the overall daily operations of the club per se and to introduce improvements to the effective running of the day to day affairs of the Club including its administrative and financial management, the boatyard, slipway, pontoons and the Clubhouse.\xef\xbb\xbf
  • To ensure all Government and statutory dues and compliances are complied with and any submissions and payments are settled in a timely manner.
  • To maintain a cordial rapport with members of the Club, look into their needs and to address any complaints.
  • To oversee the daily operations of the Club employees, provide work directions, instill good work ethics, discipline and professionalism and maintain good morale and proper code of conduct.
  • To ensure safety standards are practiced and complied with at all times by Club employees to ensure a safe and secure environment for members.
  • To supervise the administration office, yard office and other facilities within the Club including house-keeping and general maintenance and up-keeping of the Clubhouse, pontoons and slipway, house and grounds, boatyard and security, and recommend improvements to the Clubs information technology requirements.
  • To ensure all third-party and or outsourced aspects of the Club operations such as F&B, and to ensure such work meet contractual obligations and statutory requirements.
  • To oversee and regulate all obligations and commitments with and by other Club vendors and contractors.
  • To implement and ensure efficient procedures and processes for Club purchases and other procurements, safe-keeping and recording of stock and maintenance items and up-to-date schedule of maintenance of machinery and equipment, agreements, licenses\' and permits.
  • To update and improve the skills and capabilities of Club employees in their respective job duties and responsibilities and to monitor their work performance from time to time.
  • To ensure all Club sailing assets including Club-owned yachts and dinghies are kept in good condition and well-serviced and to effect repairs as and when necessary and to ensure sailing activities for members including sailing lessons for beginners as and when required.
  • To help in the Clubs social events for members and other recreational activities as and when required.
  • To ensure the Club pontoons are in good working condition and to effect repairs when necessary.
  • To monitor security arrangements to ensure safety of the Clubs and members properties within the Clubhouse and storage areas.
  • To represent the Club in meetings with the Government authorities, maintain liaison with the Selangor Palace and other private and Government bodies as and when necessary.
  • To oversee the efficient running of all departments within the Club and, where feasible, to seek more productive and or cost-effective new solutions.
  • To implement new policies as and when instructed by the Commodore and the Club Committee.
Requirements:
  • \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfMinimum 4 to 10 years at managerial level, preferably in the hospitality or service.
  • Working experience in \xef\xbb\xbfMembership Club or Marina preferred.
  • General management including marketing, office admin and communications; fluency in English, supervisory, maturity. \xef\xbb\xbf
Remuneration:
\xef\xbb\xbfRM \xef\xbb\xbf6,000 - RM 15,000

Work Hours:
\xef\xbb\xbfMonday - Friday | 9am - 5pm | May need to work on selected weekends and public holidays
