Collection & Recovery Executive
Adecco is seeking a qualified Collection & Recovery professional to join our client, an MNC within the automotive financial services industry. This role manages early delinquency accounts, oversees external collections vendors, and ensures KPI performance through monitoring and regular reviews. It includes conducting dunning calls, supporting customer restructuring, coordinating legal proceedings, and handling vehicle remarketing by ensuring timely sales at optimal prices through collaboration with auction houses, dealers, and buyers.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage early-stage delinquency and newly activated accounts.
  • Oversee external early collections vendors and ensure delivery of agreed KPIs.
  • Achieve assigned delinquency targets and uphold strong governance of collection agencies.
  • Serve as the main liaison with external vendors, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, address issues, and share best practices.
  • Provide guidance, updates, and expectations to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor vendor KPIs, analyze performance reports, and drive corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain vendor scorecards or dashboards for ongoing performance tracking.
  • Conduct dunning calls to remind customers of overdue payments.
  • Manage collections and remarketing processes according to company policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and discuss restructuring or rescheduling options with customers.
  • Support litigation proceedings by liaising with solicitors and relevant authorities (insurer, police, customs, transport authorities).
  • Ensure timely filing of legal cases to protect company interests.
  • Support the remarketing of repossessed or returned vehicles.
  • Ensure vehicles are sold within targeted timelines and at the best possible price.
  • Work with auction houses and coordinate with dealers, buyers, and auctioneers, including preparation of required documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Banking, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years in automotive finance, preferably in Collections and Recovery.
  • Strong understanding of Finance Contract Management ERP systems.
  • Solid knowledge of hire purchase terms, processes, and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage across all levels.
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new environments and collaborate effectively with other departments.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
