SCOPE OF SERVICES:

• Conduct investigation on power theft or any other cases assigned.
• Prepare investigation paper with findings & recommendation based on evidence collected during investigation.
• Keep proper record of investigation and all relevant documents for purpose of prosecution in court.
• Maintain chain of evidence or exhibits seized for prosecution in court.
• Work actively with MUT, UKPS, SAG, PDRM and/or any other relevant agencies to prosecute power theft offenders in court.
• Assist the team in developing a system to monitor the progression and status of investigation Paper.
• Preserve information relating to any investigation and prosecution cases.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):

• Understand the case by engaging with other retail divisions through actively listening and probing questions to identify method and cause of power theft case.
• Actively engaged with stakeholders to build a relationship to combat power theft activity.
• Multitasking while ensuring the quality of investigation paper can be charged in court.
• Identify relevant information and details of customer for investigation and prosecution in court.
• Understanding customer\'s input and gathering information correctly whilst maintaining smooth two-way communication and situation while interviewing with customers/witness/suspect.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):

• Bachelor Degree in Law or relevant fields
• Preferably minimum of 2 years working experience as investigation officer or relevant fields.
• Familiar with the Sarawak Electricity Ordinance, Criminal Procedure Code, OSH act and relevant legislation.
