  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in ensuring that the project is well managed to meet overall project delivery objectives, as well as in compliance and conformance to the regulations and specified Contract deliverables.
  • Lead the integration roles to collaborate with relevant functional teams (i.e., Project Controls, Capital Works C&P, HSSE, QAQC and Engineering Management).
  • Overseeing the co-ordination with appointed Contractors and Consultants, as well as manage other internal/external stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Contribute and be involved in the Contractors progress claim certification.
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal team members in generating alternative options and making well-reasoned decisions based on an analysis of the risks and opportunities throughout project execution.
  • Perform and contribute to risk identification and mitigation actions.
  • Proactively initiate meetings and discussions internally within the Project Team, or with external stakeholders to actively track ongoing tasks, issues and ensure works are delivered from relevant parties to achieve the planned progress and milestones.
  • Manage and implement a system that effectively tracks and monitors the critical correspondences safeguarding the contractual validity of the project deliverables.
  • Perform assessment on tender technical proposal, adjudication of quotation, clarification prior award the contract.
  • Lead and guide engineers in the review of contractor submission (i.e., Quality management plan, method statement, material, etc.) to ensure compliance with contract, adopted standards and good engineering practices.
  • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company.
  • Lead the efforts to embed hydropower sustainability best practices within the project work processes and deliverables working with relevant Process Owners.
i. Coordinate the tracking and delivery for the completion of action plans and relevant initiatives.
ii. Contribute to the increase of awareness on HSS through briefing/sharing sessions.THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):
  • Manage International Contractors that do not have full understanding and experience of national and state legislative requirements.
  • Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol (HSAP) in implication of best industry practices for the sustainability performance of Baleh HEP.
  • Stakeholder Management and communication with all levels of internal and external related Stakeholders.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):
  • A recognized Degree in Civil Engineering with Minimum 8 - 10 years' experience of relevant working experience in Project Management.
  • Minimum a Certified User in utilizing the hydropower sustainability tools governed by the International Hydropower Association. A Provisional Accredited Assessor Certification will be an advantage.
