SCOPE OF SERVICES:

  • To assist Electrical Manager to plan, direct and manage the project execution of Samalaju CCPP project in the electrical systems.
  • To review engineering documents and drawings, installation procedures, method statements submitted by Contractor.
  • To inspect and ensure that equipment delivered to site are in good order, properly handled, proper preservation storage is provided.
  • To be responsible for the effectiveness coordination between the electrical team with other discipline engineers, consultants, and contractors to meet the project requirement, deliverables, and target.
  • Prepare technical reports pertaining to project progress schedule, work quality, methods of preservation, proper handling, implementation of best practices etc.
  • To coordinate the project activities with the including matters pertaining to requirements, permitting, interfacing schedule, changes, commissioning of works.
  • To ensure any physical changes in the project are properly documented especially those that are due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • To review and ensure commissioning works for electrical system is validated according to Contract requirement and documented for submission.
  • To organize and phase out duties with fellow colleagues in accordance with the progress of the construction works and provide them with the necessary guidance when required.
  • Any other tasks as directed by Electrical Manager.
THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):
  • To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
  • To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
  • Good communication skill. Can communicate effectively to the key stake holders such as project teams, contractors, and asset owners.
  • High levels of technical knowledge, skill and experience are required which takes great effort and time to acquire.
  • Decision making skill. Able to make firm decision based on strong engineering foundation.
  • Frequent travelling and relocate to project site if required.
  • Willing to work overtime, during public holidays and weekends as needs arises.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
  • Processed competency with EIU Sarawak will be advantageous.
  • Having at least 6 years relevant project execution, engineering and management work experience in power, oil, and gas industry.
  • Experience in combined cycle power plant equipment installation and commissioning will be advantageous.
