Contract for ServiceLocation: Malaysia (MY), Sarawak Energy (SEB)Company: Sarawak Energy Berhad, Contract & Procurement - Capital Works (50034006), ,Number of Openings: 2Job Category: ContractClosing Date: 14 August 2024SCOPE OF SERVICES:Lead junior colleagues in the following areas:

• Provide contract & procurement solution in cooperation with technical disciplines.
• Conduct market surveys, prequalification of consultants & contractors.
• Conduct tender evaluation and negotiation.
• Deal with all Commercial Matters to the Contract and with specific input for preparations of Progress Payments, Variation Orders, Provisional Sum Items, Variations of Prices for Selected Materials, and any other Commercial Claims.
• Administer contract specifically on Preliminaries & General Conditions, general provisions and conditions stated in Contract.
• Keep records on site (particularly details of delays, agreed variations and any other data that is required for evaluation of E.O.T and cost).
• Clarify any errors and anomalies found in the contracts Drawings and Documents.
• Ensure all procedures and processes for verification of provisional items and additional works are compiled accordingly.
• Contribute and develop Best Practice and Procedures for the Department.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues in their deliverables.
• Actively involved in Project Delivery Excellence, Commercial Excellence & Operational Excellence.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):

• Manage and resolve contractual disputes independently.
• Foresee and manage contractual risks for the PD projects undertaken.
• Coordinate and lead own team in handling contract administration tasks effectively.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and good writing skill to aid in management paper preparation and presentation.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):

• Bachelor\'s degree in quantity surveying, Engineering, and other relevant disciplines with minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant experience.
