As our Contracts Management and Procurement Lead you will provide strategic advice on regional contract management and negotiation issues and management of third-party relationships including vendors, service providers and partners.

As a member of the in house Legal and Procurement functions, you will act as a business partner in the region and deliver on the strategic objectives of the company. Your role will be responsible for best practice cradle to the grave commercial contract management in accordance with existing company process and procedures as will hold relationships relevant to dealing with suppliers, government instrumentalities and providing end to end sourcing activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contract Management and negotiation of agreements with service providers in close coordination with legal, compliance and commercial stakeholders
• Initiation and coordination of regional B2B commercial engagements and initiatives with key vendors and partners
• Developing and maintaining industry and market knowledge relevant to sourcing business opportunities
• Managing contractual relationships with the aim of building strong supplier relationships and lowering risk, the total cost of ownership and ensuring compliance with technical and quality assurance requirements.
• Act as a delegate and represent the Legal, Compliance & Procurement functions at a local level on third-party engagements and project governance activities.
• Ensure that all sourcing activity and engagements are conducted in an ethical, legal and sustainable manner.

What you will bring:

• Demonstratable experience in the development and management of end to end bid and strategic sourcing strategies.
• Experience with contract drafting, review, negotiation and stakeholder management
• Detailed knowledge of risk management strategies and processes
• Ability to apply critical thinking to complex business issues
• Exceptional planning, organisational and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ideally in multiple languages including English and Malay

Qualifications

• 5-7 years' experience in a similar role
• Relevant undergraduate qualifications - Bachelor of Law/Bachelor of Business or related management discipline (essential)
• Industry certification from IACCM/CIPS/IFPSM (desirable)
• Experience working within Mining / Engineering / Construction and Project Management environments (desirable)
• Experience working with in-house Legal and Procurement teams (desirable)
• Knowledge of the data centre and related industries (desirable)
