Contract Manager

Job Description

a~ The role will concern the management of schemes and projects across the various operating sectors of the construction trade, involving but not limited to the following:
A Liaison with estimating to take responsibility of projects from contract award through to Final Account agreement.
A Cost management
A CVR reporting and forecasting
A Reporting progress to senior management
A Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts
A Measurement, pricing and valuation of post contract variations
A Producing and submitting applications for payment
A Client facing contract administration across a number of forms of contract including the PAM standard forms, as well as some bespoke forms.
a~ Provision of quantity surveying management to the whole projects team as well as the contractors and consultants as required;
a~ Supervising the performance of the quantity surveying team to ensure quality and timeliness in delivery;
a~ Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules and making decisions about the purchase of materials to be use in projects;
a~ Ensuring that each senior or junior quantity surveyors runs his/her section to the highest professional standards, that all information is current and that every member of the team is receiving the information he or she needs to fulfil their responsibilities;
a~ Provision of all the technical data to the projects team in the project's reports and such other reports, exercises or investigations required by the team or clients;
a~ Manage and prepares management of provisional sum expenditures;
a~ Forecast and reviewing estimation expenditures and, prepares monthly cost reporting;
a~ Preparing, as required, cost estimates for each potential change of projects;
a~ Quantifying and estimating costs for all proposed variations and change orders;
a~ Establishing and maintaining consistent and adequate administration procedures across the projects;
a~ Participating in all change order negotiations;
a~ Generating and processing necessary change order documentation;
a~ Identify, analyze, and responses to commercial risks and, reviewing the commercial aspects of proposed contract changes;
a~ Resolving requests for equitable adjustment, contract disputes and contact claims;
a~ Analyzing information, reporting and recommendations;
a~ Provide post-occupancy advice, facilities management services and life-cycle costing advice.
