\xe2\x80\xa2 Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients \xe2\x80\xa2 Cook food in a timely manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure appealing plate presentation \xe2\x80\xa2 Supervise Cooks and assist as needed \xe2\x80\xa2 Slightly modify recipes to meet customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy) \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor food stock and place orders \xe2\x80\xa2 Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items \xe2\x80\xa2 Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area Requirements: Candidates must possess a culinary education background. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates must possess at least 5 years working experience. \xe2\x80\xa2 Confident in executing and serving modern western dishes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Professionally trained in commercial kitchens. \xe2\x80\xa2 The ability to lead a full kitchen team, including hot and pastry kitchens. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to handle and coordinate food order in a busy kitchen \xe2\x80\xa2 Passionate in culinary arts. Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates must be able to work with food servings that may contain alcohol. It is a pork and lard free kitchen. \xe2\x80\xa2 Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good understanding of relevant computer software, e.g. POS system, MS Office. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates with lesser working experience are encouraged to apply to join as junior chef
