Better requires process discipline and simplification As a qualified attorney with extensive experience in the financial services industry, you\xe2\x80\x99ll play a key role in providing world-class legal advice and oversight for all business units and shared services in the region to deliver the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategic priorities. Holding a senior position as part of the APAC & Middle East Legal Team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be assigned primary responsibility for a number of countries and will be expected to provide timely and commercial legal and regulatory support for BAU operations and new initiatives as well as partnering with business leaders to help shape the strategic direction of the company. You will need to work independently and cooperatively as part of a cohesive regional team. Your work will include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements for Western Union Consumer Money Transfer, Payments, and Digital in coordination with other lawyers, business leaders, and internal stakeholders. You will provide legal advice to business partners within the organization and coordinate with outside counsel. Superior skills in researching, analyzing, and monitoring new and existing laws are key. You will be expected to stay current and advise business and senior leadership on changes to regulatory environments in your applicable jurisdictions of responsibility. You will review and advise on new and existing business requirements, drive end-to-end customer value, and display a customer-first orientation. You are no stranger to working cross-functionally and liaising with regulators. Financial services experience in an international law firm or the corporate legal department of a multi-national corporation is essential (minimum 8-10 years PQE). Mandarin skills will be viewed favorably (but not essential). You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to tailor communications for different audiences (internal and external stakeholders/partners/customers) and to build strong networks and client relationships.
