Goal of Position

  • Partner with Senior Leadership team to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of business and function in Malaysia.
  • Provide timely information and/or education to all levels of company on HR matters
  • Educate, coach and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals
  • Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation & benefits, and organizational development
  • Collaborate with HR teams in the region to champion and accelerate HR initiatives in the country
  • Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction
  • Lead HR core processes such as performance calibration, compensation cycle, promotions, learning and development
  • Key HR focal point on all HR related topics and initiatives in the country
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Work with leaders in Malaysia to consult, share insights and execute critical HR topics, with a focus on creating a high performing and productive workforce, and enhancing a change mindset as aligned with the business/function and corporate strategy.
  • Build and maintain a relationship as a trusted HR partner with key stakeholders in Malaysia
  • Coach manager and employees on people matters including but not limited to performance, terminations, disciplinary issues, learning & career development, leadership & team effectiveness
  • Manage and execute HR activities including but not limited to recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, performance management, talent and succession planning
  • Support sub regional/region/global HRBPs & CoEs on HR projects
  • Foster employee engagement in the country and responsible for employer branding activities
  • Expatriate Management including coordination with appointed Tax Agent
  • Preparation of monthly HR management reports and presentations
  • Work closely with auditors on HR related topics
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll execution and reporting
  • Responsible for staff welfare activities
  • Country coordinator on compliance-related topics
*In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his/her superior that are essentially related to his/her duties.

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree or above with good command of spoken and written English
  • 5+ years HR experience in MNC, GBS industry preferred
  • Ability to interface at all levels of an organization (including senior leaders in a variety of functions)
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia employment law and tax
  • Well organized, ability to prioritize, maintain focus and follow through
  • Customer and Solution based focused
