Job Description




Our client is a reputable MNC in the manufacturing (building materials) industry. In order to support the company\'s rapid growth, our client is looking for a talented and dynamic professional to join them as the Country HR Manager (MYSG).

Job Responsibilities

  • Geographical area covers Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia (total employees headcount of less than 200 pax).
  • Lead a team of up to 6 team members dispersed across several locations.
  • Lead, manage and oversee the full spectrum of HR functions for the plants including recruitment, training & development, performance management, payroll processing, compensation & benefits, foreign worker management, employee engagement and industrial relations.
  • Directly manage and oversee a team of HR personnel in managing day to day HR operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbook / staff communication.
  • Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirement and company\'s needs.
  • Manage disciplinary/misconduct cases and grievances in compliance with the Employment and Industrial Relation Act
  • Participate and support various audit activities e.g ISO, RBA, Environment audit etc.
  • Lead and participate in the Safety & Health Committee and Emergency Response Team in establishing related SOPs and ensuring maximum adherence company-wide.
  • Support all general office administrative task.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • 8 to 10 years of working experience preferably within manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in foreign worker management is an added advantage.
  • Understand key HR concepts and practices (employment law, industrial relations, performance management, succession planning, training and recruitment).
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to speak and write in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • Has good rapport and relationship with government departments and authoritative officials.
  • Strong sense of ethics and confidentiality.
  • Able to travel within Malaysia and Singapore periodically to monitor team and employees.
