Your new company:
This company is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. they specialise in handling, storage and processing of commodities. Their global head office is located in Zug, Switzerland. The Regional Head Office for the Asia Pacific business is in Singapore and is responsible for China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam etc.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Arrange and coordinate all import and export shipping matters according to clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements.
  • Coordinate with various shipping and forwarding contractors and internal warehouse operations to support timely receipt and delivery of shipments to customers.
  • Fulfil orders and generate reports using the Company\xe2\x80\x99s in-house warehouse management system.
  • Collaborate with finance department to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Manage daily execution of customer service activities pertaining to the arrangement of warehousing (incl. Exchange Compliance and Stock Management), distribution and import/export shipments.
  • Ensure proper and timely execution and follow up on banks and customers\xe2\x80\x99 instructions and requests.
  • Updating the warehouse management inventory management system timely and accurately.
  • Attend to customer inquiries in coordination with the Commercial and Customer Service Manager and manage Customer\'s expectation.
  • Trouble shooting/solving of daily operations issues.
  • Escalate any customer\xe2\x80\x99s complaints to the Team Leaders or Customer Service Manager.
  • Timely and error free processing of customer\xe2\x80\x99s instructions such as warranting, title transfer and warehouse receipt.


What you need to be successful in this role:
  • Minimum Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain management.
  • Relevant working experience preferred.
  • Experience in import/export procedure and documentation.
  • Demonstrated warehousing and logistics operations expertise.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Meticulous, responsible and positive work attitude.
  • Mature and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Candidates with knowledge of freight forwarding and/or experience in shipping will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients & associates).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to perform effectively in a high pressure and fast paced working environment.
