Job Description
The
Data Engineer/Technical Lead
designs, builds, and manages data infrastructure (pipelines, warehouses, lakes) while mentoring a team, setting technical direction, and ensuring data quality,
requiring strong SQL/Python, cloud skills (Azure/AWS), Big Data tech (Spark, Kafka), and leadership/communication for stakeholder alignment and project delivery.This role blends hands-on coding with strategic leadership , focusing on scalable, reliable data solutions and driving innovation.
Key Skills & Qualifications and Responsibilities include:
Experience
: 8-12 years in data engineering/analytics, proven team leadership/mentoring.Technical
: SQL, Python, Cloud (Azure/AWS), ETL tools, Data Warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift), Big Data (Spark, Kafka), Orchestration (Airflow).Leadership
: Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, planning, detail orientation, and self-motivation.Soft Skills
: Patience, negotiation, analytical thinking, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.Technical Leadership
: Architect, design, and oversee scalable data platforms, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.Team Mentorship
: Guide, coach, and review code for junior engineers, fostering best practices and skill development.The job is on a 3-years contract (renewable) based in Kuala Lumpur.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM11,500.00 - RM12,500.00 per month
