Digital Strategy
Define and deliver outstanding consumer experiences in the digital space, as part of a broader marketing strategy for the Shell Malaysia Downstream Mobility business through integrated paid, owned, and earned channels including website, mobile app, social media, display advertising, and navigation platforms.
Lead the development of an effective media buying and digital channel strategy for major marketing campaigns throughout the year.
Manage multiple digital and media agencies, and establish quickly whether agencies submitting proposals have the right skill sets and knowledge to deliver the proposals within timelines and budgets
Be proactive in ensuring digital is integrated appropriately into the marketing mix both cross-business and within the Mobility team
Work closely with brand managers to ensure an integrated Digital and PR approach wherever possible
Support the Digital Strategy & Development Manager to design best-in-class digital CVPs in collaboration with other Digital experts in Shell\xe2\x80\x99s global and local teams, that can be applied to the local MY market to address specific consumer needs
Review and analyze consumer insights, competitors, market trends, and opportunities in the digital space
Content Marketing
Lead the development of full year social media strategy and content marketing plan, and see through the plans from planning to execution with the intent of increasing engagement while driving follower acquisition across Shell social media channels
Evaluate Shell\xe2\x80\x99s brand image and awareness on digital channels, ensuring ad placement relevancy with optimum yield
With the help of specialist agencies, monitor online conversations and sentiment on social media. Support the Corporate Relations team to develop and publish effective communications to respond to or provide information to the public during a crisis.
Manage the digital budget and ensure continuous optimization, value for money, and return on investment
Innovation
Develop and execute data-driven, real-time, and personalized marketing campaigns on digital channels (web, mobile apps, RFID, payment and loyalty, eCommerce) using first-party data and consumer insights to drive acquisition of new users while keeping existing users loyal and engaged.
Be the subject matter expert and have the enthusiasm and knowledge of digital innovation and new emerging tools, technologies, and digital marketing techniques such as AI and other emerging technology within the business
Lead internal collaboration tools to enhance collaboration and digitalization of work amongst Shell teams
Lead, manage, and motivate team members including training and upskilling to energize the wider Mobility organization towards a cross-business, consumer-focused approach to digital
What do we need from you?
Ability to grasp the business strategy and strategic challenges for Mobility
Experience in the development of broader business strategy beyond communications
Strong problem-solving in an ever-changing environment where not all the information required to make decisions is available
Ability to influence global & local stakeholders effectively, building strong relationships and managing 3rd party relationship
Track record of bringing bold new concepts to the business, managing risk, and learning from failure
Preferred someone with operating a consumer-facing business with delivery experience
Experience in how agencies operate, how to manage them, and how to build mutually valuable partnerships
With Strong Analytical and data-driven experience
Work very effectively in multi-cultural virtual teams and self-starter to carve own path of learning/integration
With team insights to translate customer research into game-changing ideas
Energetic, passionate, enthusiastic, and able to contribute at pace will be essential traits as well as pragmatism, patience, and commercial grounding.
Expertise in all digital disciplines including strategy development, social media, display advertising, SEO/SEM, CRM, mobile apps, and eCommerce is an advantage
