GENERAL SUMMMARY OF POSITION

Reporting to the President, the Director of Logistics is responsible to lead and manage the Global Freight and Logistics functions, including Carrier Management, Control Tower Management, Data & Performance Management, and Documentation Control. The Director will ensure an efficient and responsive movement of goods from origin to destination, partner with Global & Regional leaders to develop logistics strategies to deliver on commercial expectations, identify needed capabilities, and deploy new tools to support the strategic vision for logistics. The role will also be responsible for developing a strategic logistics supplier framework and ensure best-in-class service provider performances.

What would your role look like?

You will be responsible for these functions: * Carrier Management

• Deliver maximum profit and optimize business assets in accordance with group business strategies and local business environment.
• Ensure capacity procurement and management at Global level is aligned to Corporate Carrier Strategy in terms of carrier choice and shifting.
• Subject Matter Expert for International Transportation, to provide market intelligent, insights and relevant shipping trends.
• Accountable for carrier costs effectiveness and efficiency. Develop strategic supplier framework for carrier base. Engage with carriers and takig corrective action to achieve mutual targets.
• Key decision maker in annual Carrier RFPs; setting objectives, participating in negotiations, and executing contracts.
• Control Tower

• Accountable for global transportation planning and execution program for Finish Goods, Raw Material Sources, and Inter-company transfers
• Developing strategic roadmap and operational improvements for Global Logistics and the Control Tower operation. This includes communicating, collaborating, and developing goals with the various stakeholders depending on Global Logistics including but not limited to Region Logistics teams, Sourcing team, Supply & Demand Planning, Customer Service teams, Production team, etc.
• Overall responsibility for proper management of global transportation shipment planning and execution of such plans ensuring achievement of established service levels.
• Accountable for developing and deploying the control tower technology and 4PL strategy to support the operation.
• Data / Performance Management

• Accountable for service provider\'s data accuracy, quality and consistency of all related logistics/shipment reports
• Provides support in deployment of global logistics policies, guidelines and/or procedures to Ansell Plants, Outsource Suppliers, logistics service providers and any other internal and external parties to ensure consistent understanding and smooth implementation.
• Develops and executes projects which drive business process efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Freight Invoice & Documentation Control

• Accountable for Global Freight transportation billing verification & payment process, including managing the freight / shipping documentation audit and validation of all of Ocean Freight, Air freight & Courier Parcel.
• Provides accrual report (freight spend) to Region finance / GTC finance
• Provides analytics and assessment of performance; generates reports, drives actions, and implements solutions to issues

What you will bring? * Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain management or Logistics or other Business Studies or equivalent.

• More than 10 years operational experience in Transportation, Logistics, Consolidation, Freight Forwarding, Carrier Management, Logistics Control Tower Operations, Warehousing & Distribution.
• Good knowledge of Ocean & Air Freight programs, Warehousing and Consolidation Operations and Logistics Operations.
• Knowledgeable and experience in international logistics, process flows, networks and Supply Chain management.
• Familiar with import & export regulations and processes.
• Proficiency in logistics software and technology.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
