We are now recruiting
Mandarin-speaking Executive Chefs and Sous Chefs
to join our
European River Cruise
culinary team, serving Chinese and international guests on board.
Executive Chef
Oversee overall kitchen operations, menu planning, and food presentation.
Supervise Sous Chefs, Cooks, and Kitchen Assistants to maintain quality, hygiene, and timing.
Create and adapt
Chinese & Western fusion menus
for international guests.
Control kitchen inventory, cost management, and HACCP standards.
Ensure smooth coordination between F&B and service teams.
Sous Chef
Assist Executive Chef in day-to-day kitchen management.
Supervise cooking sections (hot, cold, pastry) and ensure consistent output.
Support Chinese cuisine preparation, menu translation, and service timing.
Train junior cooks, ensure safety standards, and maintain clean working stations.
Requirements
Fluent in Mandarin
(spoken & reading). English ability preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in
hotel, restaurant, or cruise kitchen management
.
Strong culinary background in
Chinese and/or Western cuisine
.
Knowledge of food hygiene, storage, and HACCP procedures.
Leadership, communication, and teamwork skills in an international environment.
Professional appearance and readiness for onboard living.
Appearance:
No visible tattoos while in uniform
