Job Description


Financial Management (i) Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. (ii) Manage outsourced functions. (iii) Oversee the operations of the finance department, including the design of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the department\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives. (iv) Assist CEO and Board in pursuit of finance related issues in the industry e.g. utility rates, tax matters and in preparation of the Government\xe2\x80\x99s annual budget dialogues. (v) Provide support to the MAH Finance Sub-Committees. (vi) Set-up and maintain credit control system of MAH and MAHTEC. (vii) Manage Chapter accounts and maintain SOP accordingly. Funds Management for MAH and MAHTEC (i) Forecast cash flow positions. (ii) Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirement. (iii) Maintain banking relationships. (iv) Assist in determining the company\xe2\x80\x99s proper capital structure. (v) Invest and manage funds; use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company\xe2\x80\x99s borrowings as well as its foreign exchange positions. (vi) Recommend appropriate dividend issuances, based on historical dividends patterns and expected cash flows. Budgeting (i) Preparation of budget for MAH and MAHTEC. (ii) Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances. (iii) Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction. Financial Analysis (i) Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company. (ii) Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement. (iii) Interpret the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities. Preparing and presenting a report of the company performance. (iv) Review company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company throughput. (v) Participate in target costing activities to create products that meeting predetermined price goals (MAHTEC). (vi) Assist in determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricing. (vii) Compile report and present to CEO, General Manager, Management Committee and Board members. (viii) Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis. (ix) Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management (x) Monitoring outstanding status and follow up payment. (xi) Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
