Job Title
Executive, MICE
Reports To
Sales Account Manager
Role Purpose
Identifying, planning, implementing and monitoring activities in MICE unit to achieve targets and grow the MICE business for outbound, inbound and across the network.
Key Accountability
- Implementing overall MICE strategy to achieve MICE targets and revenue.
- Attend MICE events globally as required and drive new business leads, proactively seeking to develop opportunities for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Develop, establish and maintain through networking, close working relationship with convention bureau, professional conference organizers, destination management companies and hoteliers.
- Accountable for the adherence and compliance to all policy, statutory and legal requirements.
- To collaborate with oneworld MICE Unit in furthering the relationship of the oneworld Alliance and participating in the oneworld Alliance booth at agreed major MICE events.
Diploma in related discipline with 3-4 years experience in related areas
Skills & Knowledge
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication
- Good negotiation skills
- Good writing skills and speak fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Negotiation challenges in concluding agreement and meeting MICE demands
- Negotiating with internal stake holders in meeting MICE demands
- Required to be on the field meeting leads/client/travel agents at their premise that requires travel time while fulfilling an office job at the same time
