Job TitleExecutive, PurchasingReports ToAssistant Manager, PurchasingRole PurposeResponsible for managing the day to day purchase operations activities including of conducting product research, aircraft parts sourcing, replenish aircraft parts at the right volume, time for the right price according to the reordering level, tracking orders, ensuring timely deliveries to maintain stock availability for operation support. To observe market supply patterns, trends and changes prior to gain optimal costs value from the purchase spending within the budgets.Key Accountability * Identify and understand the operation demands in order to execute the replenishment of aircraft consumables and expendables (C&E) parts.

  • Manage daily tactical and strategic to ensure timely responses in parts sourcing of C&E parts to maintain optimum stock level to avoid nil stock especially fast moving parts.
  • Conduct the RFQ processes, quotation evaluation for non contracted parts to ensure purchase compliance are met.
  • Expedite open orders to achieve on time deliveries.
  • Demonstrate, develop and maintain relationship with suppliers and the stakeholders.
  • Identify and monitor improvements of non performing suppliers for better support.
  • Assists buyers in resolving receipt discrepancies of parts from vendor in a timely manner.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications & Working Experience * Degree in any field of Engineering preferable Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or equivalent with 0-2 years of working experience in Supply Chain or Engineering fields.
  • Diploma in any field of Engineering preferable Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or equivalent with 3 years of working experience in Supply Chain or Engineering fields.
Skills & Knowledge * Good computer literacy, highly proficient in Microsoft word and excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain or Purchasing fields.
  • Able to understand and generate financial and management report- KPI/Annual Budget/loan charges/exchange charges and component tracking reports.
  • Ability to drive buyer team to achieve purchase target within the targeted time frame.
  • Leadership skills to lead, guide and motivate a dedicated team.
Key Challenges * Global supply shortages.
  • On time replenishment to avoid nil stock availability leads to operational disruption.
  • Long lead time of part deliveries issues.
  • Building rapport with key stakeholders.
