Job Summary

To closely assist in follow-up with suppliers on deliveries for raw and packaging materials and general item or spare part to ensure delivery on-time to meet production plan.

Job Specification

Bachelor degree in Business studies/ Engineering/ Supply Chain related field or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words, PowerPoint & SAP system English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (added advantage) Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage) Strong planning, coordination and negotiation skills Able to manage priorities and work independently Proactive with strong teamwork skills. Capable of working in a stressful and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Source, select & negotiate with suppliers based on cost, quality, payment term & delivery to obtain the best value for goods & services in line with project timelines. Manage purchasing process from purchase requisition, purchase orders to delivery, ensuring timely availability of all required materials / parts. Ensuring strict adherence to our purchasing policies, purchasing the best quality at the best prices from suppliers. Ensure purchasing & procurement activities comply with the company's policies & procedures, code of ethics, values & adherence to relevant laws & regulations. Closely liaising with PPC / related department on material/parts shortages, replacement orders, parts availability, and delivery matters related to the Purchasing Department. Working closely with Warehouse and Logistics on the arrival of goods and liaising with the Finance department on vendor payments. Coordinate with suppliers on delivery, non-conforming parts & warranty claims. Delivery & maintain strong relationships with suppliers & oversee suppliers on time delivery & quality performance. Support tender team to obtain latest cost from suppliers. Other duties & assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
