A Hybrid working model

Role Summary

The role of the Finance Director will involve holding full accountability for leading financial strategy, financial modelling and driving business decisions in collaboration with the General Manager of Hogarth Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate and critical financial information is provided to the Hogarth Global/ APAC Management Team, and Business Leaders.
• Ensure all Financial & Management Accounting information is reported accurately and timely in accordance to the local policies and regulations.
• Support Hogarth Malaysia and APAC Management Team in business development, to deliver growth and achieve profit targets.
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Prepare annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts, year end schedule and ad hoc reports
• Manage working capital, including review of cash flow forecast and improving debtor days of the ageing report
• Review balance sheet and ensure the accounts are reconciled on a regular basis and all variances are explained and investigated
• Manage intercompany billing and recharge to ensure charges are correct and all invoices are received in time for intercompany cut off and avoid month end mismatches
• Preparation and submission of Statutory Accounts
• Preparation and submission of Tax returns
• Ensure all internal controls are in place to achieve compliance with internal SOX policies and procedures
• Liaison with external auditor, tax agent and company secretarial (if applicable)
• Ensure all WPP policies are adhered to
• Support and assist with the Management team on client's fee proposal, rate card request, and during business pitches
• Prepare, review and analyse client profitability
• Provide professional advice and information for the Management team to make business decisions
• Handling all financial matters related to clients, suppliers and employees
• Participate in all business reviews

Job Requirements:

• A degree qualified CPA/ ACCA
• Knowledge in US GAAP accounting and tax compliance and reporting processes
• At least 10 years of proven track record in Finance, audit or controllership role
• Sound technical accounting knowledge and good appreciation of local statutory accounting standards and tax law
• Prior experience in related industry would be an added advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Management of a Finance team, setting objectives and day-to-day management delivering value to internal stakeholders
• Systems Experience - Adept/Excel/Cartesis, including Microsoft package software will be ideal
