We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at Baba House. This position plays a pivotal role in managing the financial health and stability of our boutique hotel. The successful candidate will oversee all financial activities, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and contribute to the strategic growth and profitability of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full spectrum of financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and Group Finance for strategic decision-making.
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal controls.
Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and support for daily financial activities.
Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly management account, and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysia accounting standards and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and safeguard company assets.
Monitor and manage hotel's financial performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending actions for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments for financial planning and alignment with the company's overall strategy.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and brand guidelines.
Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and support management with ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management or audit.
Strong understanding of Malaysia financial regulations, tax requirements, and statutory reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
