Responsibilities:



Oversee and manage the P&L for the company's freight forwarding division (Air & Ocean), ensuring profitability and cost efficiency. Lead and optimize import/export operations, including Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and Customs Brokerage, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth, operational excellence, and market expansion. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify business opportunities and mitigate risks. Manage and mentor operations teams, ensuring smooth execution of logistics processes, from planning to final delivery. Establish and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and key logistics partners to secure competitive rates and service reliability. Ensure timely and accurate shipping documentation, cargo tracking, and compliance with international trade regulations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, sales, customer service) to align operational strategies with business goals. Analyze KPIs, cost structures, and service performance to drive continuous improvement in logistics operations. Handle customs-related matters, ensuring smooth clearance processes for imports and exports. Report directly to senior management on financial performance, operational challenges, and strategic initiatives. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements and skills:



Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics, with a strong background in P&L management, operations, and strategic leadership. Deep industry knowledge of Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL), Air Freight, and Customs regulations. Proven experience in cost optimization, vendor negotiations, and contract management with shipping lines and logistics providers. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in supervising operations teams. Proficient in logistics software, WMS systems, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint for reporting and presentations). Strong problem-solving skills, able to handle operational disruptions and implement corrective actions. Willingness to travel as needed for business reviews and client engagements. Language Proficiency: English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
