Job Description


Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a respectable F&B company. Our respected client is looking for a General Manager. This is position will be based in Kuching, Sarawak.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management of the company including but not limited to setting goals, developing strategies, and implementing ooperational plans to achieve the company\'s objectives and financial target.
  • Take full ownership of the P&L statement by analyzing financial statements and closely monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary measures to achieve profitability targets.
  • Respond with appropriate actions based on financial analysis, such as implementing cost reduction strategies, pricing adjustments, or revenue enhancement initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory changes to adapt the company\'s offerings and strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee all aspects of the company\'s operations, including production, supply chain, quality control, and logistics to ensure efficient processes and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain high-quality standards across all aspects of the business, including food preparation, presentation, and customer service delivery.
  • Maintain effective control over inventory levels, optimizing stock management, and minimizing waste or spoilage.
  • Manage labor resources efficiently, including scheduling, staffing, and controlling labor costs while ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to the management team, fostering a positive work environment, promote teamwork and collaboration, and motivate staff to achieve goals.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a talented workforce, ensuring the right people are in the right roles.
  • Work closely with sales & marketing team to develop strategies for attracting customers, increasing sales, and promoting special events or promotions.
  • Collaborates with the culinary teams and vendors to plan and develop menus that meet customer preferences and industry trends.
  • Identify target markets and analyze customer segments in order to develop customized marketing campaigns to reach and engage them effectively.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and suppliers to drive business opportunities and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels, addressing any issues promptly and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to high standards of quality, consistency, and food safety across all company operations.
  • Conduct frequent visits to outlets to check if outlets are operating efficiently and in compliance with the SOPs and guidelines set by management.
  • Correct deviations in behavior and processes which deviate from best practices and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Possess at least a Bachelors in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management or any related disciplines.
  • Preferred a minimum of 5 - 8 years working experience in the same management capacity within the F&B or retail/hospitality related industry (not limited to industry)
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against a business strategy.
  • The incumbent is a team player with a proven ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess a track record of increasing and sustaining sales growth and profitability.
  • Must demonstrate a proven ability to motivate, coach and develop people.
  • Results-oriented and ability to support team objectives and goals.
  • Good English communication skills, written and verbal, is beneficial.
  • Outstanding inter-personal communication skills are essential.
  • Positive attitude and confident team player.
