Job Summary

Join us in revolutionizing the world-scale Olefins industry. We are seeking an experienced Olefins Process Technology Engineer who thrives on innovation and process optimization. The ideal candidate will be a passionate technologist, keen on maximizing process efficiency, and committed to pushing the boundaries of the petrochemicals industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer specialized technology support focusing on improvement projects for Olefins plants optimization.
  • Apply statistical tools in analyzing key process trends, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Diagnose chronic plant issues, develop technical solutions, and draft reports based on comprehensive plant data analysis.
  • Collaborate within the T&I organization, securing project approvals and implementation.
  • Spearhead technology projects in Ethylene Steam-Crackers (various feeds) for optimization.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Apply scientific methodologies and use statistical tools for data interpretation.
  • Pioneer in identifying and developing carbon-neutral or decarbonization technologies.
  • Conduct studies on emerging Olefins technologies, drafting white papers for senior management.
  • Support strategic initiatives, including capacity expansions, complex studies, and refinery integration.
  • Innovate and develop patentable concepts for intellectual property growth.
Requirements
  • Relocation: Permanent relocation to Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor\'s in Chemical Engineering mandatory. Master\'s or PhD in Engineering is an advantage.
  • 11+ years in industrial roles (petrochemicals/refinery) with 3+ years in Olefins process technology.
  • Hands-on experience with various Olefins feedstock.
  • Experience in steam cracker process, modeling, and computational tools such as ASPEN Plus/HYSYS, Petro-SIM, HTRI.
  • Desirable: Refinery integration with steam cracker projects.
  • Additional advantage: Experience from manufacturing/technology licensor roles.
  • Proven mentorship prowess, guiding young engineers.
  • Team-oriented, yet can operate independently.
  • Strong project management skills.
