The team has experts in wide range of areas such as electromagnetic, mechanical, electrical, control algorithm, software, and project management. Motor Drives and Advanced Control (MDAC) within Power Systems is responsible for the motor control, electromagnetic design, system control, EOL production solution, software, and verifications. With over 100 experts globally, our team works from early development through to the production of our designs.The Programmes team lead and deliver Power Systems projects with the 3 \'ON\'s\xe2\x80\x9d (on-time, on-cost, on-spec) that are an instrumental part of Dyson\'s next generation products, whilst influencing a multi-disciplinary team of engineers across Dyson.About the roleReporting to the Programme Manager, you will experience first-hand how the project manager role requires significant technical understanding with the incumbent needing to understand and communicate project status, risk and technical progress to senior management; whilst interacting with key stakeholders in the engineering, operations and quality teams as well as key suppliers. Your main accountabilities will include:Communicate between teams within the Category, Engineering and Operations organisation to ensure effective and timely input; resolve conflicts and lead solutions.Work on the level 0-2 plans and ensure their delivery through prioritisation and escalation of unresolved conflicts.Define the communications plan for each project to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed in an efficient manner.Ensuring the Project KPI reporting is kept up to date and reflects accurately the state of the project.Influence and lead on the use of development processes, good engineering practice and discipline to deliver a fully resolved solution.Embark on a transformative journey with our two-year Graduate programme designed for your career success. Join us to unlock personal and professional growth and ignite your career potential.About youYou will show Project management interest with knowledge in an engineering high technology field demonstrating some knowledge and understanding of the complete project life cycle:Degree in Engineering preferred.Project Management training/understanding principles (i.e., estimating and planning, risk management, status reporting, budget tracking, benefits analysis, stakeholder management and communication, resource management)Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft ProjectGood communicator, with a can-do attitude and good team-working skillsGood interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships and influence.Growing leadership and analytical skills; to be able to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions.Confident; comfortable interacting in a team environmentCredible; ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding of engineering processes in order to work with design teams.To be able to multi-task and plan effectively when workingWorking for usOur workforce is spread across various countries, each with its own unique regulations, cultural norms, and societal expectations.
