Job Purpose

As an Enterprise Architect for our banks, you will works with businesses to ensure correct solutions are align to CIMB Bank and Group\'s strategic initiative with end-state in mind and to meets business KPIs, Operationals KPIs, Regulatory and Security. This person will also focus to ensure solution design process follow the Enterprise Architecture Governance and best practices

Key Responsibilities

As the Enterprise Architect Lead, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining CIMB\'s overall enterprise architecture framework to ensure alignment with the organization\'s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing, improving, and upgrading the bank\'s enterprise services, software, and hardware. Additionally, you will lead the collaboration with technology and data stakeholders in each domain, providing your views and direction on the banking and financial industry\'s latest trends and technologies to drive the thinking process.

Responsibilities: * Develop, maintain, and advocate for CIMB\'s overall enterprise architecture framework to ensure alignment with the organization\'s strategic objectives.

  • Serve as the Enterprise Architect for defining enterprise portfolio roadmaps that meet specific business needs.
  • Provide architectural expertise on strategic planning actions and policy decisions related to CIMB\'s systems, making recommendations concerning the direction of CIMB\'s technology.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to develop and maintain the organization\'s data and application architecture.
  • Play a critical role in translating business strategy into technical strategy and define end-to-end architecture that supports strategic objectives.
  • Articulate the desired future state, understand the current state, identify gaps between the two states, and develop approaches to close these gaps.
  • Develop and maintain the organization\'s technology roadmap, including identifying technology trends, evaluating new technologies, and retiring legacy systems.
  • Provide business and solution architecture as well as system processing guidance to the CIMB technical and project teams.
  • Lead solution discussions with the CIMB technology team to meet business requirements. The discussions will lead to the outcome of As-Is, To-Be, Gap Analysis, SWOTS, charts, diagrams, and tables that depict the present and proposed systems in terms of costs, benefits derived, and tasks accomplished.
  • Play a critical role in translating business strategy into technical strategy and define end-to-end architecture that supports the strategy.
  • Facilitate agreement on organizational work models among various business units to meet phased business requirements.
  • Seek ways to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes. Research and provide information on technical trends and competitors\' practices relevant to the assigned line of business (LOB).
  • Review solutions before the EA Governance approval process (GSRC) and ensure that any changes to the solution must have an outcome on cost and productivity efficiency, security, keeping EA framework and knowledge current, and support the organization\'s goals.
  • Work closely with program and portfolios, IT Service Management, and Group Governance to ensure the current EA is current and aligned.
  • Drive the adoption of CIMB EA Framework across the region and ensure artifacts are regularly updated and current.
  • Continuously stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies and keep an eye out for any software, services, or hardware that will improve business processes, revenue, and operations costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and industry experts, to stay current on trends and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specification *
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • TOGAF, Archimate architectural modeling techniques.
  • Cloud Certification such as Oracle, AWS, Microsoft
  • Professional banker is optional
  • Minimum of 10 years of architecture, solution design and implementation experience in Technology and Software development
  • At least 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on banking and financial services
  • Strong technical background in banking and financial services, including experience in banking platforms, payment systems, financial data analysis and banking in cloud platform
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments.

Technology and Technical
  • a complete understanding of the technology required for all layers of cloud technology
  • EA Framework Familiarisation such as TOGAF, Zachman Framework or similar framework
  • Strong understanding and apply of of Archimate framework, definition and concept
  • Experience working with BIAN Framework
  • experience in designing and development of the softwares
  • Experience in designing business process in the banking and fiancial industries
  • Strong understanding of Security (Cybersecurity, software development and etc)
  • Strong understanding of the finance institution regulatory requrement for Technology
  • Strong understanding of the banking systems and application
  • Strong undersanding understanding and able to articulate the application of the technology in the markets for CIMB
  • Cloud Technology solution architect with Hands-on experience with AWS, Oracle, Google and/or Microsoft,
  • Needs to have hands on experience with cloud technology platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google, Oracle Cloud
  • Any exposure to Administration, configuration, monitoring, and performance Cloud Platform
