Job Description

The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing the overall kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, menu innovation, and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the kitchen team while fostering close collaboration with the Front of House lead to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Foster a healthy and productive working relationship with the Front of House lead and team to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience. Plan, organize, and supervise daily culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Create and adapt menus to align with guest expectations, seasonal availability, and current dining trends. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage food costs effectively to maximize efficiency and profitability. Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations. Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with management to develop and implement culinary strategies and new initiatives. Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative cooking techniques, flavors, and recipes. Maintain consistent high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Work closely with suppliers to source premium ingredients and negotiate competitive pricing.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role. Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. Creativity and passion for culinary innovation and customer satisfaction. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From RM4,500.00 per month
