The EQS Head Grid Technology Asia Pacific contributes to the EQS of Siemens Energy personnel and business in Asia-Pacific and provides strategic, operational, and tactical support with the regional EQS resources to achieving business goals. The main responsibility comprises the areas of Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, Quality & Business Excellence, Security Incident & Crisis Management. This would require close alignment with internal stakeholders, such as Tender Management, Project Management (PM), Service, Sales and Grid Technology global EQS organization. The individual would also engage with the Corporate EQS organization from time to time for EQS reporting, guidance, alignment, and support. The holder of this position reports to the Grid Solutions Asia Pacific & China (GT GS AP&CN) Regional Head.
How You\'ll Make an Impact
Lead the EHS and Quality managers and team members in the relevant Asia-Pacific countries and closely collaborates with the local Siemens Energy Grid Technology organization.
Drive EQS topics with Siemens Energy hub organization.
Participate in the strategic planning of EQS implementation, including adequate resource planning with regards to the regional Products, Solutions, Sales and Service in Asia Pacific and coordinates EQS topics with other EQS teams within GT BA and country as necessary.
Responsible for implementation and compliance with the Siemens Energy and Grid Technology EQS policies and governance requirements, including but not limited to EHS compliance, workplace & project safety, incident crisis management and Quality & Business Excellence.
Ensure EQS strategy, initiatives and programs are developed and timely deployed to deliver successful EQS business results.
Provides tactical guidance, operational support, and EQS consulting to Siemens Energy Grid Technology regional/local leadership, management, employees, and works in close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Responsible for Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) and other safety KPIs, regularly support the business with incident management, including investigations, reporting, communication, and implementation support together with other EQS resources in the region. In the area of Quality, the governance and performance of key topics pertaining to customer satisfaction \'Net Promoter Score\' (NPS), Non-Conformance Costs (NCC) and Cost-Out / Continuous Improvements is a critical requirement.
Supports the development of Regional & Global initiatives and programs, whilst proactively monitoring the EQS targets, KPIs and goals to prioritize EQS activities to support business goals and achievements.
Promote Quality & Business Excellence awareness, ensure trainings (in close collaboration with other functions such as Project Management, Service Operations, Sales), coaching to support the achievement of business EQS objectives, as well as seeking to simplify and improve EQS processes and procedures.
What You Bring
\xe2\x97\x8f Relevant academic degree (preferably engineering), a professional qualification from a recognized university or appropriate EQS experience.
\xe2\x97\x8f Relevant EQS certifications including but not limited to NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt/Black-Belt would be an added advantage.
\xe2\x97\x8f At least ten years of experience working in corporate EQS or a similar environment, with proven EQS experience in Asia Pacific region and countries.
\xe2\x97\x8f Advanced knowledge on strategic EQS topics e.g., EHS injury prevention methodologies, high-risk work activities, health management, customer quality programs, continuous and lean improvements concepts, process improvements techniques and non-conformances management
\xe2\x97\x8f In-depth knowledge of EQS risk management, root cause analysis (RCA) techniques and methodologies, auditing, lean methodology, Quality fundamentals & principles, business excellence concepts, legal & compliance reviews, inspections, investigation methodologies, EQS digital tools and integrated management systems to list a few.
\xe2\x97\x8f In-depth knowledge about the ISO standards pertaining to EQS namely ISO45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and their implementation for a stronger EQS management system. Having lead auditor certification in each ISO will be added benefit.
\xe2\x97\x8f In-depth knowledge of international standards and policies on EQS especially EHS workplace and project risks and Quality excellence in business and service operations
\xe2\x97\x8f Well spoken and Written English; further languages are an advantage.
\xe2\x97\x8f Member of various EQS organizations, certification bodies and forums will be beneficial.
