Take responsibility for overseeing all financial, accounting, and tax-related matters, including the creation of financial policies and controls, resource planning and allocation, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and effective processes in accordance with best practices.
Lead and supervise the company\'s financial activities, encompassing budgeting, reporting, periodic closing, and auditing.
Participate in feasibility studies and cash flow projections for business expansion, including assessing new opportunities in both existing and new markets.
Conduct research on revenue prospects and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas for cost reduction, and propose process improvements.
Collaborate closely with other department heads to achieve company targets and contribute to high-level decisions regarding policies and strategies.
Manage all cash management and investment activities across various subsidiaries, supporting the Group\'s financial strategy and identifying hiring needs.
Monitor performance against internal targets and external best practices, intervening as necessary to ensure timely adjustments.
Lead the development and implementation of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that promote a well-controlled and adaptable organization with strong financial management, project management, and interdepartmental communication.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and legal requirements by staying informed about existing and upcoming legislation.
Manage risk through the analysis of company liabilities and investments, evaluate and oversee capital structure, and coordinate fundraising initiatives.
Recommend solutions for cost reduction.
Recruit and manage the Finance team.
Requirements:
Possess a Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or hold a full Professional Qualification such as ACCA/MIA/CPA.
Demonstrate a track record of successful leadership, people management, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to effectively manage teams through influence rather than direct reporting lines.
Have prior experience in finance operations specifically within the retail industry.
Possess proven experience in financial management and reporting at the Group level.
Have experience in implementing ERP systems.
Have previous involvement in an IPO project, successfully participating in the process.
Exhibit the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, dealing with diverse business issues, and showcasing analytical capability.
Take a hands-on approach to work and be capable of meeting tight deadlines.
Additional regional or global experience would be advantageous.
