Job Description


  • Direct the strategy, development, and execution of POS system enhancements to boost functionality and efficiency.
  • Manage the integration of POS systems with other retail technologies, including inventory management and CRM systems.
  • Identify and evaluate new POS technologies and solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aimed at enhancing POS systems and technology infrastructure.
  • Supervise and handle all IT operations related to POS systems, encompassing hardware, software, and network components.
  • Ensure POS systems are secure, dependable, and scalable to support business expansion and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with POS system vendors and technology partners to ensure the successful implementation and upkeep of solutions.
  • To ensure quality and cost-effectiveness by negotiating contracts, managing service level agreements, and monitoring vendor performance.
  • Keep updated on the latest advancement in retail solutions and POS technology.
  • To drive operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience by Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Advocate for and apply best practices in POS technology and retail IT operations.
  • Supervise the support and troubleshooting of POS systems, ensuring swift resolution of technical issues and minimising downtime.
  • Establish and implement procedures for maintaining and resolving POS issues effectively.
  • Offer technical support and training to retail staff and other departments as required.
  • Guide and mentor the IT team, emphasizing the development of expertise in POS technology and related systems.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and ongoing enhancement within the IT department.
  • Oversee IT budgets and resources effectively, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Over 8 years of extensive experience in IT management, with substantial expertise in POS systems and retail technology.
  • Demonstrated success in leading POS system enhancements and integrations.
  • Deep understanding of retail technology solutions, encompassing POS hardware, software, and associated systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage complex projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.
