Possible side effects may include spending more on shopping (but don\'t worry - you earn Cashback).We are seeking a strategic Head of Merchant in Malaysia to lead, manage and expand our Pay business line.We are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on leader with proven experience in acquiring key accounts, as well as building and scaling businesses. The role requires an understanding of the evolving best practices for strategy and partnership with strong background in payments, fintech or financial services.Your Adventure Ahead

  • Lead a team in driving our merchant acquisition and account management efforts
  • Identify and prioritize potential merchant partners based on strategic fit, market opportunity and revenue potential
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and enter contractual agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives
  • Conduct market and potential clients\' research for our target categories, and establish a long-term positive relationship with merchant partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional such as product development, marketing and business planning teams to decide go-to-market strategy and execution plans to reach company goals
  • Drive merchant engagement and satisfaction through proactive communication, regular performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Analyze performance metrics and financial data related to merchant partnerships to optimize profitability and ROI.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to payment solutions and merchant services.
Essentials to Succeed
  • At least 8 years of experience in sales and business development
  • Strong background in Payment, Fintech, FIs, would be a strong advantage
  • Strong connections with direct brands specifically within the Fashion / Beauty / Ecommerce / Payments industry.
  • Strong people management experience, and has successfully led high performing teams
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to think out of the box in conceptualizing ideas for merchant acquisition and management - creativity and logical thinking would be key!
  • Self-motivated and driven to excel and deliver.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
