As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:

• To work closely with Group MD to achieve the sustainability target and manage team of sustainability staff who are based in Indonesia.
• Lead and guide the sustainability team in carrying out audits and preparation of external audits for RSPO/ISPO/MSPO Certification.
• To work with cross functional teams within the organisation in achieving the sustainability goals
• Coordinate with all operating units in ensuring the sustainability principles and policies are carried out.
• Assesses and analyses company policies and processes to identify areas in and processes to which improvements can be made in accordance with the organizations commitment to sustainability.
• Conducts research to identify sustainability concerns, interests, and issues.
• Evaluates efficacy of sustainability programs; recommends and implements improvements as necessary.
• Maintains current working knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all applicable local, state, federal, and internal environmental laws and regulations.
• Act as the leader and go-to sustainability subject matter expert, monitoring emerging trends, schemes, programmes, and issues, and communicating and educating others on sustainability topics

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Head of Sustainability role will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must posses the below requirements;

• Minimum degree in Enviromental Studies/Biodiversity or Conservation/Agriculture Degree.
• Minimum 15 years working experience in palm related industries; including Sustainability/Auditing (RSPO/ISPO/MSPO).
• Proficient in English is compulsory. Added advantage proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Melayu.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and information in concise manner.
• Highly proficient with computers and ability to prepare reports.
• Willing to have frequent travelling.
